It's a real eye - catcher for your project. You often see these on control panels. Now, you can imitate racing cars, fighter jets, submarine status panels, or factory controls. It can control almost any accessory. With a max rated voltage of 12V and the LED lighting up at 3V, it works well with lower voltages too. Although it says '20 A' on the side, we suggest a max of 1 - 2A. Wiring is a bit different as it has an LED and only 3 pins. The anode of the LED connects through a resistor to the 'headlamp' symbol pin, the cathode to the ground symbol pin (the one sticking out), and the switch connects/disconnects the (+) and 'headlamp' pins. You have wiring options: use the toggle to turn something on/off by connecting/disconnecting the bottom pins, keep the LED always on by providing 3 - 12V between the ground and headlamp pins, or have the LED on only when the switch is connected by providing 3 - 12V on the (+) pin and connecting ground to the ground pin. The protective cover turns the switch off when closed, and you can remove it if not needed.
Using this Blue LED Toggle Switch is a breeze. First, decide on your wiring option based on what you want to achieve. If you want to turn something on and off, use the toggle to connect and disconnect the two pins on the bottom. For the LED to be always on, just provide 3 - 12V between the ground and headlamp pin. And if you want the LED to light up only when the switch is connected, supply 3 - 12V on the (+) pin and connect the ground to the ground pin. Remember, even though it says '20 A' on the side, we recommend not going over 1 - 2A to keep things safe. As for the protective cover, it's a handy feature that turns the switch off when flipped closed. If you don't need it, simply remove it. There's no special maintenance required.
