Product Details

The Grove Shield FeatherWing is an amazing add - on for any Particle Mesh or Feather board. With it, you can effortlessly connect to Seeed's vast array of Grove sensors. Imagine having access to hundreds of Grove modules with your Particle Mesh or Feather devices! Working with Grove is a breeze as it requires no soldering. Just plug your sensors, actuators, or displays into this shield using a Grove cable (not included) and focus on coding and creating. This shield comes with 8 Grove connectors. There are 3 Grove analog connectors with 2 analog pins each, giving you 6 analog pins in total. You also get 2 Grove digital connectors, each with 2 digital pins, making 4 digital pins overall. There are 2 Grove I2C connectors that are compatible with our 4 - pin STEMMA connectors, and 1 Grove UART connector. Note that this board is designed for Particle Mesh, so the pin numbers next to each Grove connector match the numbering on Particle. If you're using Particle boards, you're all set! When using other Feather boards, the UART (RX/TX), I2C (SDA/SCL), or analog pins (A0 - A5) will match up well as they're similar across most Feather boards. But for the digital connectors, you'll need to match the pin numbers from your Feather board to a Particle Mesh board as many Feathers have different digital pin numbering. It's not a big problem as long as you're aware of it, and it only affects the 2 digital connectors.

Using the Grove Shield FeatherWing is simple. First, connect it to your Particle Mesh or Feather board. Then, grab your Grove sensors, actuators, or displays. Plug them into the shield using a Grove cable (you'll need to get one separately). After that, you can start coding and bringing your ideas to life. When it comes to pin numbers, if you're using a Particle board, you don't have to worry much as the numbers match. But if you're using other Feather boards, pay attention to the digital connectors. You may need to match the pin numbers on your Feather to those on a Particle Mesh board. You can also use a multimeter to check the connections. As for maintenance, keep the shield clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. If you notice any damage, stop using it right away and check for possible repairs or replacements.
