Product Details

The Gravity I2C Digital Wattmeter is an outstanding module with high resolution, precision, and a wide measurement range. It can measure voltage, current, and power of various electronic modules and electrical equipment within 26V 8A, with a maximum relative error of no more than ±0.2% (manual calibration is needed before use). Ideal for evaluating power consumption or battery life in solar energy systems, batteries, motors, controllers, or electronic modules. This module uses a TI INA219 zero - temperature - drift current/power monitoring chip and a 2W high - power low - temperature - drift 10mΩ alloy sampling resistor. It offers a voltage resolution of 4mV and a current resolution of 1mA. Under full - scale measurement, the maximum relative error of voltage and current measurement is better than ±0.2%. It provides four configurable I2C addresses via a 2P DIP switch. It accurately measures bi - directional high - side currents, useful for solar or battery fuel gauge applications. In motor applications, it can monitor current in real - time to detect overload. You can also use it to measure the power consumption of electronic modules or entire projects for battery life evaluation. Features include high precision, high resolution, wide range, low temperature drift, bi - directional current high - side measurement, compatibility with 3.3V/5V controllers, and a compact design for easy embedding. Applications cover solar power management, battery fuel gauges, and electronic module power evaluation. Specifications include an input voltage of 3.3V - 5.5V, a voltage range of 0 - 26V, a current range of 0 - ±8A, and more. There are also product wiki and other related documents available.

Using the Gravity I2C Digital Wattmeter is quite straightforward. First, make sure to manually calibrate the device before using it. Connect it to your electronic module or electrical equipment according to the connection diagrams provided, whether it's for an Arduino UNO or a Raspberry Pi 3B. When measuring power consumption, ensure that the voltage and current of the device you're testing are within the specified ranges (0 - 26V and 0 - ±8A). In solar or battery applications, the bi - directional current measurement feature can help you easily determine the charging and discharging status. In motor applications, keep an eye on the current readings to detect if the motor is overloaded. As for maintenance, store the module in a dry and clean environment. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or high humidity, as this may affect its performance. If you have any questions, refer to the product wiki or other available documents for more information.
