Product Details

Great news! The Gravity family welcomes a new member - the Flexible 8x32 RGB LED Matrix. This square panel comes with a pre - soldered XH2.54 3 - pin interface. Its pin mappings are a perfect match for the Arduino I/O expansion shield. The matrix is built on WS2812 or SK6812 intelligent control LEDs. Each LED can be individually addressed. With RGB pixels, it can achieve 256 levels of brightness, offering a total of 16777216 colors and a scanning frequency of at least 400Hz. The single - wire control LED panel comes with a custom cable, so it's compatible with Arduino I/O expansion shields without soldering. It also supports cascading control. Just connect Din to the DOUT port. Using the open - source Arduino library, you can control the whole LED array with just one pin! Note: Each LED needs a max current of 18mA. When using multiple modules, it's best to power multiple LED matrices via the Servo Power Port on the DFRobot Gravity IO expansion board. Features: Full - color RGB, cascade control support, Gravity interface compatibility, and external power supply support. Specifications: Operating voltage is 5V, LED type is SK6812/WS2812, communication interface is Gravity 3 - pin, operating temperature ranges from - 25 to +80 °C, dimension is 80*320 mm (3.15*12.60 inches), and weight is 188g. Documents include product wiki and SK6812 datasheet. Shipping list: One Flexible 8x32 RGB LED Matrix, one Matrix Gravity Interface Cable, and one DC Barrel Jack Adapter - Female.

Using this Flexible 8x32 RGB LED Matrix is a breeze. First, connect it to the Arduino I/O expansion shield using the provided custom cable. There's no need for soldering, which makes setup super easy. If you want to use multiple matrices, you can cascade them by connecting Din to the DOUT port. With the open - source Arduino library, you can control all the LEDs using just one pin. Remember, each LED needs a maximum current of 18mA. So, when you're using multiple modules, it's a good idea to use the DFRobot Gravity IO expansion board to power the LED matrices via the Servo Power Port. Keep the matrix in an environment where the temperature is between - 25 and +80 °C. To maintain it, just keep it clean and dry. Avoid getting it wet or exposing it to extreme conditions. That way, your LED matrix will keep working great for a long time.
