Product Details

The DFRobot Vibration Sensor features a piezoelectric transducer. When there's a strain change, it generates a measurable output voltage change proportional to the vibration strength. This way, you can accurately tell the extent of vibration. Unlike digital vibration sensors that only count vibration times, this analog sensor can detect the intensity of vibration. It has a supply voltage ranging from 3.3V to 5V, an analog interface, and measures 22x30mm (0.87x1.2 inches). Included in the package are one Piezo Disk Vibration Sensor and one analog cable. Key improvements include a wide voltage range, a standard assembling structure, easily recognizable sensor interfaces, function - illustrating icons, a high - quality connector, and an immersion gold surface. Arduino can sense the pressure on the piezoelectric unit.

Using this vibration sensor is quite easy. First, connect it to your device using the provided analog cable. Make sure the supply voltage of your device is between 3.3V and 5V. Once connected, the sensor will start detecting vibrations and sending corresponding voltage signals. You can use Arduino to read these signals and get information about the vibration. When it comes to installation, note that the sensor has a standard assembling structure with a 5mm center - distance between two 3mm mounting holes. Also, pay attention to the easily recognizable interfaces marked with 'A' for analog and 'D' for digital. For maintenance, keep the sensor away from extreme temperatures and humidity. The high - quality connector and immersion gold surface ensure long - term reliability, but avoid any physical damage to the sensor. If you want more detailed information, check out the included wiki, schematics, and datasheet.
