At Adafruit, we're always excited to find new and unique glowing items. These Flexible Silicone Neon-Like LED Strips really caught our eye! They look just like neon lights, but without the need for costly transformers, glass tubes, or inert gases. These LED strips are extremely flexible and bendable. They come with a single-color non-addressable LED strip and a solid piece of translucent silicone rubber as a diffuser. They not only look amazing but are also super easy to use, making them perfect for lighting up your projects. The silicone casing is strong, durable, and weather-proof. While they're not suitable for underwater use or long-term outdoor exposure, they're tough enough for outdoor projects like costumes, bike lights, or festival decorations. You'll receive a 1-meter long strip with two power wires. Supply 9V (bright) to 12V (very bright!) and the strip will start glowing. No soldering required! You can connect it with a 2.1mm DC Barrel Jack and plug it into your preferred 12V power supply. Instant, glowing beauty! For portable use, try our 8 x AA battery packs with NiMH rechargeable or Alkaline batteries. Note that these are not 'NeoPixel' LED strips. You can turn the whole strip on or off, but you can't control individual LEDs or change colors. You can cut the silicone cover and LED strip if you want, though you might break one or two LEDs in the process, but it's doable.

Using these LED strips is a breeze. First, you'll need to supply power. You can provide 9V for a bright glow or 12V for an even brighter one. Connect the two power wires of the 1 - meter strip to a 2.1mm DC Barrel Jack and then plug it into a 12V power supply. If you're on the go, use our 8 x AA battery packs with NiMH rechargeable or Alkaline batteries. When it comes to installation, since they're very flexible, you can bend them to fit your project's shape. Just attach them wherever you need some lighting, like on costumes, bikes, or festival decorations. As for maintenance, keep them dry as they're not meant for underwater use or long - term outdoor exposure. If you want to cut the strip, go ahead, but be aware that you might break a few LEDs. And remember, you can only turn the whole strip on or off; you can't control individual LEDs or change the colors.
