This is an Arduino - compatible fingerprint module. Thanks to its high - speed DSP processor, it can work seamlessly with various serial devices such as MSP430, 51, AVR, PIC, STM32, ARM, and FPGA. It can operate independently without a host computer or PC software. With a storage capacity of 1000 fingerprints, it supports functions like fingerprint entry, intelligent image processing, comparison, and search. It has high sensitivity for both wet and dry fingerprint recognition. This module is ideal for security fields like license management. It can also replace IC cards, passwords, and hardware switches in your projects. Specification details: Power supply ranges from DC 3.8V to 7.0V, with a typical operating current of 65mA. It uses UART (TTL logical level) as the interface, and the baud rate is (9600*N)bps (default N = 6, 57600bps). Image acquisition takes less than 1 second, and the average searching time is under 1 second (1:500 average). It offers comparison mode (1:1) and search mode (1:N). The character file is 256 bytes, and the template file is 512 bytes. It has a security level of 5 (highest). Working environment: Temperature from - 20°C to + 60°C, RH 40% - 85%. Storage environment: Temperature from - 40°C to + 85°C, RH < 85%. The touch area dimension is 14.5*19.4 mm (0.57*0.76'), and the outline dimension is 54*20*20.5 mm (2.13*0.79*0.81'). Documentation includes a Product Wiki. Shipping list contains one fingerprint sensor.

Using the fingerprint sensor is quite simple. First, make sure to connect it to your device following the specified power supply range of 3.8V - 7.0V DC. You can then start the process of fingerprint entry. Just place your finger on the touch area, and the sensor will quickly capture the image in less than a second. When using it for identification, the sensor will compare or search through the stored fingerprints rapidly. Remember to operate it within the recommended working environment of - 20°C to + 60°C and 40% - 85% relative humidity. For storage, keep it in a place with a temperature range of - 40°C to + 85°C and relative humidity below 85%. To maintain the sensor's performance, avoid touching the touch area with dirty or wet fingers for a long time. If the sensor is not working properly, check the power supply and connection first.
