Product Details

If you're into DIY cable projects, these USB adapters are a perfect fit! Crafting your own custom USB cables has never been a breeze. Just pick one of our ribbon cables and use the flex cable clips to swap and change our USB adapters at each end. There's a wide range of options! This one is a Straight USB Type A Male Plug. Note that the ribbon cable and other adapters aren't included. Check out our shop for all the choices to build your unique cable. We tested these DIY cable kits with a Circuit Playground and a computer USB port, and they performed well even with longer ribbon lengths. But keep in mind, they're not as durable or shielded as ready - made cables.

Using these DIY USB cable parts is super easy. First, select a ribbon cable from our collection. Then, use the flex cable clips to attach the straight USB Type A male plug at one or both ends of the ribbon cable. You can mix and match different adapters to create your custom cable. When using, remember that the ribbon cable and other adapters are not included in this product, so you'll need to get them separately from our shop. These DIY cable kits work well with a Circuit Playground and a computer USB port, even for longer ribbon cables. However, they aren't as tough or well - shielded as ready - made cables. To maintain them, keep them away from sharp objects and extreme temperatures. If they get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a dry cloth.
