Crack the Code Workshop 2018-12-08

The year-end countdown has begun! Before you take a holiday break, join our workshop and tinker with the ThinkerShield. This event will boost your confidence to teach Digital Technologies next year with ease. Don't have a ThinkerShield? No worries! We'll provide borrowing kits and also have some for sale. When: Saturday, 8th December 2018, from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Where: Hornsby Library. Here's what we'll do: Set up Arduino software on your computer, guide you through the amazing outputs of the ThinkerShield, give you a crash - course in Arduino coding language, get you coding lights, sounds and more fun things, and connect you with other new digital - tech teachers.

How to use: First, come to the workshop on the specified date and time at Hornsby Library. Our staff will help you install the Arduino software on your computer. Then, we'll show you how to use the ThinkerShield to create different outputs like lights and sounds. Just follow our step - by - step guidance. Note: If you don't have a ThinkerShield, tell us in advance. For maintenance: After the workshop, keep your ThinkerShield in a dry and clean place. If you face any issues, you can always reach out to us or join our community of teachers for help.
