Channel Mount Gearbox Kit - Standard Rotation (3:1 Ratio)

These channel gearbox kits with a standard 3:1 gear ratio and threaded side mounts let you easily attach a standard - sized servo to many Actobotics products like tubing and channel. This makes it a breeze to add a servo - powered gearbox to custom pan & tilt setups, mechanical devices, or robotic structures. The kit features a hardened 1/2” stainless - steel final shaft with dual ABEC - 5 precision ball bearings, capable of handling up to 200 pounds of vertical and horizontal loads. The main spur gear is bolted to the drive hub for direct power transfer without slippage. Actobotics is a robotics building system using extruded aluminum channels, gears, precision shafts, and ball bearings. With two standardized hole patterns, most Actobotics components can be connected intuitively. Using this gearbox kit is straightforward. First, check the assembly instructions provided with the kit. Attach the standard - sized servo to the channel mount gearbox using the included screws. Connect the gearbox to Actobotics products like tubing or channel via the threaded side mounts. Remember, this kit doesn't come with a servo, so you'll need to choose a Hitec servo from the related items section. When it comes to maintenance, keep the gearbox clean. Wipe it down regularly to remove any dust or debris. Check the screws periodically to make sure they're tight. If you notice any unusual noises or reduced performance, stop using the gearbox and check for any loose parts or signs of wear.
