These 360° rotation channel gearbox kits with a 7:1 gear ratio feature threaded side mounts. They make it a breeze to attach a standard - sized servo to various Actobotics products like tubing and channel. You can easily integrate a servo - powered gearbox into custom pan & tilt setups, mechanical devices, or robotic structures. Each kit comes with a hardened 1/2” stainless steel final shaft. It has dual ABEC - 5 precision ball bearings that can handle up to 200 pounds of vertical and horizontal loads. There's also a precision potentiometer inside the underdrive housing, attached to the final output shaft, which gives accurate positioning feedback. Actobotics is a robotics building system centered around extruded aluminum channels, gears, precision shafts, and ball bearings. With two standardized hole patterns, most Actobotics components can be connected intuitively. A wide variety of components makes building complex electromechanical prototypes or finished projects possible. Note: This gearbox kit doesn't include a servo. Using this gearbox kit is easy. First, attach the standard - sized Hitec servo to the channel mount using the provided screws. Then, connect the kit to Actobotics products like tubing or channel. When using, be aware that this kit doesn't come with a servo, so you need to get one separately. And always use Hitec servos as other types may not work well. For maintenance, keep the gearbox clean and free from dust. Check the ball bearings regularly for smooth rotation. If you notice any unusual noise or resistance, stop using it and inspect for possible damage. Follow the assembly instructions carefully to ensure proper installation and optimal performance.
