Product Details

This Light Dependant Resistor (LDR) is a great tool to easily measure ambient light with your Arduino or other boards having analog input. You'll need to set it up as a voltage divider with a resistor around 10KΩ. Specifications: Max voltage 150V DC, max wattage 90mW, operating temp -30°C to 70°C, spectral peak 540nm, bright resistance (10Lux) 5 - 10KΩ, dark resistance 0.5 MΩ, 100λ10 0.5, response time 20ms (Rise) and 30ms (Down), resistance illumination 2.

Using this LDR is quite simple. First, connect it to your Arduino or other board with analog input. You'll need to pair it with a 10KΩ resistor to set up a voltage divider. This setup allows you to measure ambient light easily. When using it, make sure the voltage doesn't exceed 150V DC and the wattage stays under 90mW. The LDR can work in temperatures from -30°C to 70°C, so avoid extreme environments. As for maintenance, keep it clean and free from dust. If you notice any abnormal readings, check the connections first. The response time is 20ms when rising and 30ms when going down, so be aware of this delay in your applications.
