Product Details

You'll be captivated by the amazing patterns of this Adafruit 15x7 CharliePlex LED Matrix Display FeatherWing. This 15x7 LED display pairs with any Feather board, creating a bright 105 - LED grid. It features a built - in I2C - run charlieplex driver. Available in five vivid colors, this one is red. The I2C LED driver chip can PWM each LED in the 15x7 grid, giving you beautiful lighting effects without complex pin operations. You get 8 - bit (256 - level) dimming for each LED. The IS31FL3731 chip runs on 3.3V power and has enough RAM for 8 display frames, allowing easy animation setup. Since it uses I2C, it only takes SDA/SCL pins and can share them with other devices. Our graphics library simplifies drawing shapes, text, and bitmaps for great LED displays. Check the tutorial for assembly, code examples, and more!

Using this Adafruit 15x7 CharliePlex LED Matrix Display FeatherWing is easy. First, pair it with your Feather board. You can start creating patterns right away. To control the LEDs, use our graphics library. Just tell the chip which LED you want to light up and at what brightness. When setting up animations, take advantage of the 8 - frame memory in the IS31FL3731 chip. For power, make sure to use 3.3V. Since it shares SDA/SCL pins, be careful when connecting other I2C devices. Keep it away from moisture and extreme temperatures. If there are any issues, refer to the tutorial we provide for troubleshooting. Regularly check the connections to ensure stable performance.
