Attention! This is not the subscription version of AdaBox. It's solely AdaBox001, which was sent to AdaBox subscribers in September 2016. This version doesn't come with free shipping, the lithium - ion battery, or the exclusive AdaBox subscriber pin. If you want to subscribe to AdaBox, visit the AdaBox page.
When we launched our maker subscription service, our first box sold out in a flash. It's too late to be an original AdaBox subscriber, but you can still buy this first AdaBox as a standalone item.
AdaBox001 is a top - notch gift for beginners in DIY electronics. It's a wonderful introduction to the Adafruit Feather world and a great way to try AdaBox before subscribing.
For international customers, this is currently the only way to get an AdaBox (we're working on expanding options). And if you're a subscriber who missed box one, it's a great thing to have while waiting for Box 2.
Note: This kit doesn't include the collectible pin, lithium - ion battery, or free shipping.

Using AdaBox001 is a breeze. First, take out the Feather 32u4 AdaLogger and connect it to your computer using the provided USB cable. You can then start plugging in the other components like the NeoPixel Feather Wing and the LCD screen. The male/male jumper wires are handy for making connections between different parts.
Here are some important things to note. Since this kit doesn't come with a lithium - ion battery, you'll need to source one if you want to use the box without being plugged into a computer. Also, remember that the collectible pin is not included. Handle the components gently, especially the sensors and the LED, as they can be delicate.
For maintenance, keep the components in a dry and clean place. If you're not using the box for a long time, store the parts in the AdaBox Parts Bag to keep them organized. And if you face any issues or have questions, don't forget to visit adafruit.com/adabox001 for more information.
