The GW.17 Click–in Terminal Antenna is a top - notch 2.4GHz dipole antenna. It's built tough and designed for quick installation on finished products. Its unique click - in plastic head slashes assembly time and cost compared to most terminal antennas with connectors. It comes with a 250mm low - loss RG - 178 cable and an IPEX MHFI ® (U.FL) connector. The cable and connector directly emerging from the housing eliminate the need for a separate, costly cable assembly and a bulky mating connector on the device. Module manufacturers often set peak gain limits for antennas. But remember, an antenna's peak gain in free - space can drop by 1 - 2dBi when inside a device. So, it's smart to choose an antenna with a slightly higher peak gain. For instance, if a module requires less than 2dBi peak gain, opt for an antenna with a free - space peak gain of 3dBi or more. The GW.17 offers excellent and stable radiation properties in all mounting scenarios, whether with or without a ground - plane, bent at 90 degrees or straight. Using the GW.17 Click–in Terminal Antenna is easy. Just click it onto your finished product. When choosing this antenna, keep in mind the peak gain limits set by your module manufacturer. To get better performance, select an antenna with a slightly higher free - space peak gain as the gain will degrade when it's inside the device. For maintenance, keep it in a dry place within the temperature range of - 40°C to 85°C. Avoid exposing it to high humidity conditions where condensation can occur.
