Product Details

A switch and an LED come together in this amazing 16mm illuminated pushbutton! It's a medium - sized button that's super easy to press and won't clutter your project panel. With a built - in LED, you can control it independently of the switch action. Whether it's for indicating status or just to add a cool look, this button has got you covered. The body is made of black plastic with the LED neatly inside. There are two contacts for the button and two for the LED, marked + and -. The LED has a forward voltage of about 2.2V. Just like with other LEDs, connect a 220 - 1000 ohm resistor in series to your 3V or higher power supply. This particular button has a red body and LED and is a latching on/off type. The two switch contacts either connect or disconnect. When you press the button, it switches states like a regular on - off switch. And since the LED is separate from the button, you can make it light up in different scenarios, like when the switch is on, off, or always lit.

Using this 16mm red latching on/off illuminated pushbutton is a breeze. First, find a suitable spot on your project panel for the button. The medium size makes it easy to fit and press. To connect the LED, note the + and - contacts. Remember to connect a 220 - 1000 ohm resistor in series with the LED when using a 3V or higher power supply. This will protect the LED from too much voltage. When it comes to the switch part, just press the button to change its state between on and off. You can control the LED independently. You can set it to light up when the switch is on, off, or keep it always lit according to your preference. As for maintenance, keep the button clean. Wipe it gently with a dry cloth if it gets dirty. Avoid getting water or other liquids on it as this could damage the electrical components. Also, don't apply excessive force when pressing the button to prevent it from breaking.
