16mm Illuminated Pushbutton - Green Latching On/Off Switch

This LED illuminated pushbutton is a great blend of a switch and an LED! It's a medium-sized button that's easy to press and won't take up too much space on your project panel. The built-in LED can be controlled independently of the switch action, adding an indicator function or just looking cool. The body is made of black plastic with the LED inside. There are two contacts for the button and two for the LED, marked + and -. The LED has a forward voltage of about 2.2V, so connect a 220 - 1000 ohm resistor in series to your 3V or higher power supply. This green pushbutton has a latching on/off function. The two switch contacts can be connected or disconnected, and pushing the button toggles their state. The LED is separate from the button, allowing you to customize its lighting mode, like lighting up when on, off, or always on.

Using this pushbutton is easy. First, make sure your power supply is 3V or higher. Connect a 220 - 1000 ohm resistor in series with the LED contacts marked + and - to avoid damaging the LED. Then, connect the button contacts to your circuit. Pushing the button will switch the two switch contacts between connected and disconnected states.
