Product Details

This 16mm illuminated pushbutton is a wonderful blend of a switch and an LED. It's a medium - sized button that's easy to press, and it won't clutter your project panel. The built - in LED can be controlled independently of the switch, adding both functionality and a great look. The body is made of black plastic with the LED inside. There are two contacts for the button and two for the LED, marked + and -. The LED has a forward voltage of about 3V. Just like with other LEDs, connect a 220 - 1000 ohm resistor in series to a 3V or higher power supply. This blue - bodied and blue - LED momentary switch is normally open. The switch contacts connect only when you press the button and disconnect when released. You have full control over the LED, making it light up when pressed, when not pressed, or all the time.

Using this 16mm blue momentary illuminated pushbutton is easy. First, connect the two button contacts to your circuit where you want the switch function. Then, connect the LED contacts. Remember to add a 220 - 1000 ohm resistor in series with the LED to a 3V or higher power supply. You can control the LED to light up in different situations as you like. When pressing the button, the switch contacts will connect, and when you release it, they'll disconnect. As for maintenance, keep the button clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture, which could damage the plastic body or the LED. If you notice any issues with the switch or the LED not working properly, check your connections first.
